Local school teams came to HKUST to participate in workshops to learn and practise concepts of underwater robotics.

5th Anniversary of HKUST Underwater Robot Competition.

HKUST Underwater Robot Competition was selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Operation Santa Claus HK organized by South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong to run in 2017. 

Start of the first Underwater Robot Competition at HKUST.

Invited by a special school to introduce underwater robotics to visually impaired students. 

School teams worked in indoor swimming pool in HKUST again to complete various missions with their underwater robots. 

Students and the public can drive and control mini ROVs at home in our Remote Driving Experience via internet connections. 

Selected by Airbus, the Global Engineering Deans Council and UNESCO as one of the three finalist projects for the 2018 Airbus GEDC Diversity Award, which honors successful grassroots projects that inspire students from all backgrounds to study and succeed in Engineering.

Selected as one of the HKUST 25 projects to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of HKUST. 

With the mentorship from HKUST ROV-sub team,  the students from special schools won the Special Award and 1st Runner-up in Scout Class in the 9th Hong Kong/Asia Regional IET/MATE Underwater Robot Challenge.
